【摘要】:(1)Thisstandarddealswiththeplanning,structuraldesignanddetailingofconventionalbuildingsmadefromreinforcedconcrete,steel,timberormasonryinGermanearthquakezones.Thepurposeofthestandardistosavehumanlives,tolimitdamageandtoensurethatstructuresofimportanceforpublicsafetyaswellasinfrastructureremaininworkingorderintheeventofanearthquake.(2)Thisstandarddoesnotapplytostructuresandpartsofsuch(e.g.nuclearpowerplants,chemicalplantsetc.)whichmaypresentadditionalpotentialhazardsintheeventofanearthquake.(3)Thisstandarddoesnotgenerallysubstitutethegeneralrulestobeobservedwhendesigningandplanningstructures,butprovidessupplementaryrulesthatareapplicableinearthquakezones.(4)ThosepartsofGermanywhich,withinthescopeofthisstandard,aremoreliabletobeaffectedbyearthquakesaregroupedintoearthquakezones1to3(seeFigure2).Theextentofhazardsduetoearthquakes(seismicity)inareasoutsideofearthquakezones1to3canbeassumedtobesoIowthatthisstandardneednotbeappliedinsuchareas.
