【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddealswiththesafetyofelectricalappliancesforhouseholdandsimilarpurposes,theirratedvoltagebeingnotmorethan250Vforsingle-phaseappliancesand480Vforotherappliances.Appliancesnotintendedfornormalhouseholdusebutwhichneverthelessmaybeasourceofdangertothepublic,suchasappliancesintendedtobeusedbylaymeninshops,inlightindustryandonfarms,arewithinthescopeofthisstandard.NOTE1Examplesofsuchappliancesarecateringequipment,cleaningappliancesforindustrialandcommercialuse,andappliancesforhairdressers.Asfarasispracticable,thisstandarddealswiththecommonhazardspresentedbyappliancesthatareencounteredbyallpersonsinandaroundthehome.However,ingeneral,itdoesnottakeintoaccount-theuseofappliancesbyyoungchildrenorinfirmpersonswithoutsupervision,-playingwiththeappliancebyyoungchildren.NOTE2Attentionisdrawntothefactthat-forappliancesintendedtobeusedinvehiclesoronboardshipsoraircraft,additionalrequirementsmaybenecessary;-forappliancesintendedtobeusedintropicalcountries,specialrequirementsmaybenecessary;-inmanycountriesadditionalrequirementsarespecifiedbythenationalhealthauthorities,thenationalauthoritiesresponsiblefortheprotectionoflabour,thenationalwatersupplyauthoritiesandsimilarauthorities.NOTE3Thisstandarddoesnotapplyto-appliancesintendedexclusivelyforindustrialpurposes;-appliancesintendedtobeusedinlocationswherespecialconditionsprevail,suchasthepresenceofacorrosiveorexplosiveatmosphere(dust,vapourorgas);-audio,videoandsimilarelectronicapparatus(IEC60065);-appliancesformedicalpurposes(IEC60601);-hand-heldmotor-operatedelectrictools(IEC60745);-personalcomputersandsimilarequipment(IEC60950);-transportablemotor-operatedelectrictools(IEC61029).
